The ADVANTAGES of using WORDPress

I think this is the right decision for me to blog using WordPress, after changing among several blog services from Blogspot, Blogsome, and others, none of these were suitable with my style. Then I started to use WordPress. It’s very surprising that even before I posted anything I have already fallen in love with such interesting themes. After we posted and publish our writings, it turned out that the writings are very immaculate, very decent, unlike blogspot that even when I have justified the right and left it’s still can’t be as decent as what WordPress can do.

Actually I really like to play with HTML language and JavaScript, because I have already fallen in love eventhough WordPress does not support HTML/Javascripy I will still be very faithful using WordPress.

Thats why WordPress have many advantages such as :

  1. free because it is licensed under GPL (GNU Public License)
  2. It can be used in offline mode (without internet connection) using web server installed locally.
  3. It can be installed in web hosting that supports the user of PHP and MySQL. PHP version that used in minimum is version 4.2 and MySQl minimum version is 3.23.x.
  4. Easy to customize
  5. Provides many themes and plugins
  6. Supports the process of making unlimited categories and subcatagories.
  7. It does automatic syndicating with the help of RSS and Atom.
  8. It uses XML ROC (Remote Procedure Call) interface for trackback process and remote posting.
  9. It can be integrated with posting via email.
  10. Supports to plugins and themes (skin settings on blog)
  11. It has the ability to import data from Moveable Type, textPattern, GrayMetter, b2evolution and Blogger which is the major advantage of WordPress. WordPress users also can backup all postings for security concern and can upload it again easily.
  12. It Supports documents with multiple extensions and has API (Application Program Interface) to enhance the ability of WordPress.
  13. It is very easy to do administration process  and maintenance without having experience in blogging.
  14. Comfortable searching facility.
  15. Instant process of publishing\ contents
  16. Multi-lingual, including Indonesian language.
  17. It has the best administration panel with all the features.
  18. Link manager to easier link-making process with blogs or other sites.
